gouache paintings
as covid-19 spread During the spring of 2020, I, as like many others in quarantine/lockdown, picked up a new hobby - gouache painting. After painting a gift for a friend, interest in my paintings spread like wildfire among my college friends, teammates, and community. I turned my hobby into a side business called throughout my senior year until graduation where I produced over 40 paintings for satisfied customers through my etsy and word of mouth.
Here are some of my favorite pieces

The idea was simple.
i wanted to make highly-personalized paintings that focused on a theme/location that was meaningful to the recipient: their hometown, where they went to university, study abroad, passing of a loved one, birthday etc. i then filled the paintings with street names, restaurants, city capitols, landmarks, food, and whatever else sparked emotion.
they became perfect mementos for cherished memories
